William And Kate Practicing To Be Parents?

Are Prince William and his wife Kate practicing their parenting skills? The royal couple, who will celebrate their one-year anniversary on April 29, doted on a tiny baby at a party Thursday.

The prince, 29, took the 3-week-old baby, named Hugo Eric Scott, in his arms and told the baby’s dad, Vic Vicary, “He looks very sweet.” Kate, 30, came over later to chat with the little boy’s parents, Vic and Hanna, and remarked that the baby was being “so good” as she admired his Superman-style outfit.

The party marked the end of an expedition to the South Pole. The baby’s father, a Warrant Officer Second Class with the Rifles who took part in the expedition, described the Prince as “a natural” with the infant. Of course, all eyes have been on the royal newlyweds to have a baby. A royal source told PEOPLE recently that like any couple, William and Kate “will let nature and life take its course.”

In the meantime, William and Kate plan to celebrate their anniversary weekend with friends in the U.K. The couple will likely spend their actual anniversary on Sunday together at home in north Wales. The quiet, private day is a world away from their wedding of last April 29 when the world watched them say “I do.”

Police Investigate Octomom For Alleged Child Neglect

Nadya “Octomom” Suleman is in danger of losing her 14 children after police paid a visit to her La Habra, California home on Tuesday night after her hairstylist visited her home to do her hair, found deplorable living conditions, and filed a complaint.

Not only were the youngest of her brood, the 3-year-old octuplets, dirty and walking around barefoot in only T-shirts, but they were being forced to urinate and defecate in training potties set up in the backyard because the house’s plumbing was not working, according to the stylist named Stephanie (who will not release her last name).

In one photo Stephanie took, the mother-of-14 is shown happily flaunting her new ‘do — for which she paid $520 (that includes two previous haircuts and $80 worth of product), despite the fact she’s on welfare — while behind her a chair is wedged underneath a doorknob, as if it to keep the occupants inside.

On Tuesday night, three reps from Child Protective Services along with a police officer went to the Suleman home to investigate Stephanie’s claims. In a video, children can be heard as the group repeatedly bangs on the front door until Suleman, 36, finally lets them in. Before the video cuts off, she can be heard telling them, “Excuse the graffiti.” After an hour-and-a-half, CPS left after determining the children were not in immediate danger, but a spokesperson did tell TMZ the investigation is ongoing and there will be a follow-up visit to the Suleman home.

Pippa Middleton Gets Involved in Gun Scandal

Photos of Pippa Middleton have made the sister-in-law of England’s presumptive future king a worldwide sensation, but nothing quite like the shot this weekend when she was snapped laughing as a male companion in a car pointed a gun at a photographer following them in Paris.

The image shows Middleton, the younger sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, looking back at the paparazzo and grinning as her friend, the driver, reaches down and aims what appears to be the gun. But now it appears that the excitement, which included reports that Pippa Middleton could face criminal charges, may have been overblown.

ABC News has learned that the photographer says he knew all along the gun was a fake and has been telling people he never felt scared. Even friends of one of the young fashionistas in the car told ABC News today that they have the toy gun in their possession. The Sun had reported that the Paris Judicial Police department is “poised” to launch a probe into the incident, but police told ABC News that there is no investigation, because no one has filed a complaint.

It was revealed in January that lawyers for Middleton sent a cease-and-desist letter around to six media agencies that distribute paparazzi photographs worldwide.  The letter was said to warn the agencies that unless their photographers stop following Middleton, she will pursue legal action, which could include an injunction and legal costs.

Buckingham Palace said it would not comment on the incident, since it does not officially represent Middleton because she is not a member of the royal family.

Do you think Pippa saw the incident as just a big joke for the paparazzo? Tell us your opinion!
