John Mayer And Katy Perry Officially Over

Katy Perry is “falling from Cloud 9” once again. Just two months into a relationship with John Mayer, he has reportedly called things off with the “Wide Awake” singer – and she’s heartbroken. According to Us Weekly, Perry is “really upset about it,” even though she is also trying to downplay the seriousness of the summer romance.

But just because things have cooled down between the two, it doesn’t mean that Perry, 27, and Mayer, 34, can’t end up as friends. A source tells People magazine, “They were honestly having fun.”


The split went down some time before an August 21 dinner party the two attended – albeit, separately – at a mutual friend’s home. According to Radar Online, the two singers completely ignored each other the entire evening and even went as far as to stay in different rooms throughout the soiree.

Perry joins a long list of famous hearts broken by Mayer including her own pal Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson, and Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Katy Perry And John Mayer Dating For Real?

For several weeks there have been rumors that Katy Perry and John Mayer have been going on secret dates. Well, the secret is officially out!

On Wednesday night, the singers were photographed leaving Chateau Marmont, the West Hollywood see-and-be-seen celebrity hotspot. Casually dressed in a green army jacket, Mayer was behind the wheel of a black Land Rover while Perry, looking pretty in a white lace top, sat in the passenger seat. A witness told Us Weekly that Perry and Mayer’s night out appeared to be “romantic,” noting that they were holding hands and sneaking kisses.

According to reports, earlier in the night Mayer, 34, and Perry, 27, had dinner at Pace restaurant. The Italian eatery must be a Mayer favorite — in the spring, he had a photo shoot there for Martin Guitar. He also brought ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson to Pace back in 2007. Us Weekly recently reported that Perry has had a longtime crush on Mayer that developed before she met Russell Brand “and finally her dream came true.”


This is the first time they have been photographed together, but there have been several Mayer-Perry sightings in recent weeks. On July 19, they attended a party together at Soho House with Us Weekly reporting that they were “affectionate, holding hands and cuddling.” The next night, Mayer visited Perry at her home, and they had pizza, according to the magazine.

In a new interview with Elle, which came out yesterday, Perry talked relationships, saying, “I’m a woman who likes to be courted — strongly.” Well, it looks like Mayer is up for that challenge!

Robert Pattinson Leaves Kristen Stewart After Cheating Scandal

Kristen Stewart’s public apology to Robert Pattinson didn’t magically heal their fractured relationship. The British actor has moved out of their Los Angeles home after news broke that she cheated with a married director.

Wednesday afternoon, Stewart – looking worse for the wear in a white Adidas T-shirt, rolled up and frayed gray gym shorts, and black shoes – was photographed on a Los Angeles street appearing distraught. She wiped tears from her eye, rubbed her head, and held her crossed arms to her stomach. Well, there seems to be a good reason behind those tears: People magazine reports that Pattinson, 26, has packed his bags and left the home he shared with Stewart, 22. The “heartbroken and angry” actor is “in seclusion” and “not in contact” with his girlfriend of three years.


On Tuesday evening, Us Weekly posted their cover story about Stewart cheating with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. In the latest issue of the magazine, there are a series of photos, taken July 17, of Stewart and Sanders kissing each other in the actress’ MINI Cooper and then a secluded park-like area called Pacific View Trail, which overlooks the Hollywood sign.

After the magazine hit newsstands Wednesday, Stewart admitted to cheating and issued a public apology. Sanders – whose wife Liberty Ross played Stewart’s mother in “SWATH” – also issued his own statement. While Pattinson has yet to comment on the cheating scandal, his decision to pack up and leave the home he shares with Stewart speaks volumes.

Kristen Stewart Cheated On Robert Pattinson With Married Director?

Kristen Stewart cheated on co-star/boyfriend Robert Pattinson with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders, who is married with two children, reports both Us Weekly and People.

According to a photographer who snapped the actress and her 41-year-old director during a “marathon makeout session” on July 17 (Us Weekly has the pics in its new issue, on newsstands Friday), the two “couldn’t get enough” of each other.

Almost immediately after the indiscretion, Stewart, 22, had a change of heart and now feels terrible. “Kristen is absolutely devastated,” a source tells People, which was the first to break the story. “It was a mistake and a complete lapse in judgment.” And won’t happen again, adds the source. “She wasn’t having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn’t have happened. She never meant to hurt anyone. She’s a good person who just made a bad choice.”


It’s unclear if Pattinson is aware of what allegedly happened between Stewart and Sanders. The couple appeared happy together at the Teen Choice Awards this past Sunday, and even wore coordinating blue-and-black outfits when they stepped onstage to accept the “Ultimate Choice” honor. (They did not walk the red carpet either together or separately.) A few days before the July 17 incident, Stewart and Pattinson giggled as they dished on Bella and Edward’s sex scene in the upcoming “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″ at Comic-Con.

The final installment in the “Twilight” series will hit theaters November 16 … but will Robsten still be together? Reps for both Stewart and Sanders, who is married to model-actress Liberty Ross, had no comment.

Lindsay Lohan Cast As Elizabeth Taylor In ‘Liz And Dick’

Looks like LiLo is set for a comeback: Lifetime has confirmed that Lindsay Lohan will be taking on the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the biopic ”Liz and Dick,” a TV movie that will focus on the star’s on-again, off-again romance with Richard Burton.

Lifetime has referred to Lohan, 25, who starred in “Mean Girls” and “The Parent Trap” and who is off probation, as “perfect” for the part. In an interview with E! News, producer Larry Thompson said, “We could hire actresses that would be great and people would watch it, but I think that Lindsay brings to Elizabeth Taylor and to our project that sparkle of magic, that sparkle of today.”


Along with sharing good looks, both stars wrestled with addiction in the past, with each of them spending time at the Betty Ford Center.

In a statement to Us Weekly, Lohan said, “I have always admired and had enormous respect for Elizabeth Taylor. She was not only an incredible actress but an amazing woman as well. I am very honored to have been asked to play this role.”

‘Matilda’ Child Star Reveals Why She Quit Acting

Nineties child star Mara Wilson has revealed why she quit performing for cameras in a recent blog post: “Here is something no real celebrity will ever tell you: film acting is not very fun.”

In the post, a seemingly frustrated Wilson discusses her childhood career—she appeared in films such as “Matilda” (1996), “Mrs. Doubtfire” (1993) and “Miracle on 34th Street” (1994)—indicating the beauty standard for today’s big screen is too contentious for her, and the talent pool is impressive:

I think that there are many much more talented, much more conventionally attractive actresses out there who are taking the roles I would have been offered. To paraphrase the showtune, anything I can do, Anna Kendrick or Ellen Page or Jennifer Lawrence (or any actress from the plethora of actresses waiting to be “discovered”) can do better.


Wilson addresses the continued enthusiasm her fans have, many of whom ask her to return to film. She compares her early success to finger painting: “It’s flattering, but you haven’t finger-painted in years, and it seems like something you did a long, long time ago. You’ve realized you don’t particularly enjoy getting your hands dirty and that there are other outlets for your creative urges. But people are adamant: are you going to finger-paint again? When? Wait, you’re not? Why not?… That’s what it feels like.”

The former child star, now 24, attended New York University and now works as a playwright, according to Us Weekly. And yes, she does still act in theater productions and for voice-over work. But: “…no, you will not ever see me on “Dancing With The Stars.” Sorry.

Brangelina Finally Engaged!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie finally announced their engagement on Friday — but back in October 2006, about a year after he and Jolie went public with their romance, he told Esquire magazine that they took a hard line when it came to matrimony.

“Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able,” Pitt, now 48, said in a strong statement of support for the federal legalization of same-sex marriage.

Yet by December 2011, Pitt appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and still voiced the same opinion. “I’ve said that we would not be getting married until everyone in this county had the right to get married…” he said. “Until that is reversed. I just don’t get it.”


Around the same time, Jolie told ABC’s Nightline they were beginning to feel some pressure from their kids – Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5 and twins Knox and Vivienne, 3 — to marry. “We’ve explained to them that our commitment when we decided to start a family was the greatest commitment you could possibly have,” she explained. “Once you have six children, you’re…you’re committed.”

But their tune drastically changed by January 2012. In a January 2012 interview with CBS News, Pitt revealed he told his children he’d marry their mom. “We will someday. We will. That’s a great idea!,” he told them. ” ‘Get mommy a ring!’ ‘Okay, I will, I will.’ “

And he finally did! A rep for jeweler Robert Procop told Us Weekly, “I can confirm that, yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt.” Jolie was photographed wearing her new emerald cut rock Wednesday at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Chinese Galleries.
