Lindsay Lohan was handcuffed and taken into custody on Wednesday after Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked her probation. The actress had been expelled from her community service at a women shelter after she had committed a series of violations.
According to Steve Honig, Lohan’s spokesman, they had already posted the $100,000 bail that the judge had set. However, it was not determined if Lohan had been released thereafter.
“We’re dealing with someone on probation,” said Shawn Holley, Lohan’s legal counsel. “Most people on probation don’t always do things perfectly.”
Although a city prosecutor upheld that Lohan should serve jail time, Judge Sautner had appointed another hearing on November 2 to determine whether the offender should be held behind bars.
