Theron, 36, joins the ranks of a slew of actresses who have adopted a child as a single mother, including Sandra Bullock, Connie Britton, and Kristin Davis. Little Jackson — who was born in America and is of African-American descent — is the first child for the South African-born Theron, who is currently single following a nine-year relationship with actor Stuart Townsend, which ended in 2010.
